Our Story
The original family business McCoy Landscape, Inc. was founded in 1977 by Don McCoy as a small part time lawn grading business. Don and his two high school-aged sons, Matt and Mark all worked together in the evenings, on the weekends, and in the summers. Mark and Matt went on to build a local brand. When you think McCoy, you think landscape. The 3rd generation Luke McCoy, Mark’s son, grew up in the family business and joined full time after graduating from The Ohio State University in 2015. As Mark and Matt reached retirement age they sold the business to a Cleveland based landscape company in August of 2020. It was Luke’s dream to one day run the family business and that is why after finishing out a 3 year non-compete, made his dream reality and opened L.A. McCoy, Inc. in 2024.

President - Luke A. McCoy
Luke was born and raised in Marion, Ohio where he graduated from River Valley High School. In 2015 he graduated from The Ohio State University. Upon graduation he joined the family business at the time as an Account Manager. Luke resides in Marion County with his lovely bride Jessica and two sons Joseph and Russell.
